Do you feel that you have struggled this past year? Maybe you have faced some extremely difficult times? Maybe you have been burdened down? Maybe you have stumbled or maybe you are the one who has created a stumbling block? Let me be clear—no matter what you have gone through or what you are going through, God wants you to know that you are Worth It. You are worth all of His trouble and anguish. He knew you before you were born and He lovingly said and is still saying, “You are worth it.”
At the same time we receive God’s loving words, the Spirit is also encouraging us to fix our vices or the areas in our lives that need work. If you pray and listen intently, the Spirit will give you insight. Remember, “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God” (Romans 8:14). The Spirit will point us to perfection. Once we allow Christ to begin repairing those areas in our lives that are broken and undone, we then can begin shining the light of Jesus in this dark, lost and thirsty world.
In order for us to accomplish this last day’s work, we must understand that we are Worth It! Even the prophet Isaiah felt unworthy and unclean.
Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts. Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar: And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged.
Isaiah 6:5-7 (KJV)
We may feel inadequate and unworthy, but the Lord has sent the Holy Ghost to encourage, empower and embolden us for the work. Therefore; it is time for us to overcome! It is time to put the enemy in his place. It is time to walk in victory. It is time to live in victory. It is time to be victorious. Why? Because you are Worth It.
When we accept and understand Whose we are, then we will begin to see the lost, the vile and the wretched with the same love that Christ has—we will see that they are worth it. They are worth our time and energy. They are worth our love and concern. They are worth being inconvenienced.
Do you remember John’s writing? I know you do, you’ve heard it over and over again:
That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
John 3:15-17 (KJV)
We have lived beneath the privilege God has provided for far too long. We must understand and embrace the entirety of the Word. Believe the Old Book. Cling to it. Breathe it. We must stop accepting the status quo, lack-luster services and hum-drum lives. Don’t expect the worst—expect God’s divine will. God is GREAT! He provides abundance. He has the supply for all that we need. Will you step out of your comfort zone for one lost soul?; stop your normal routine and search for the one in need? Live (dwell) on Higher Ground.
Again, we have a short time to work out our issues. We are hearing the warning as well as the Macedonian Call. We must be the light that God is desirous to shine and send forth. We cannot be as a light warm breeze; we must move in His Spirit as mighty rushing wind. Together we can be that mighty army that thunders the praises and glory of the Father and the Son with the power and anointing of the Holy Ghost.
Heed the call to perfection. Reach God’s potential. Know with all your heart and then embrace it with all of your mind—God is saying, “You are Worth It!”
