Arise, shine: tabernacle in God's perfect will

Excerpts reprinted from the March 2015 edition of the Arise Shine publication.

What a beautiful site before our eyes, we have been blessed to be able to say today, “We have our own tabernacle again!!” Words cannot express in my heart how I feel about what God has done in just a short time. God has proven time and time again that He is God and He will always be. All we have to do is be faithful and true to Him and He will come through every time. I am a witness because He has never failed me and neither has He failed The Church of God.

There is no doubt in my mind that this is the will of God for His Church to have its own tabernacle again. We have been faithful to the task that God has given the Church to obtain this wonderful place of worship and look what God has done for His people.

As previously stated in my letter to the Church regarding the tabernacle, I mentioned that I was amazed at the door that God had opened. This was over and above what we could have asked or even thought of.

“Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,” (Ephesians 3:20)

I have been saying all along that when God opens the door we need to be ready to walk through that door. Since our last Assembly, we all felt the burden together, to step out on faith and pledge our funds for our own property. Because of our faithfulness to walk by faith and not by sight, God has decided to honor our faith.

What a miracle God has performed for The Church of God!!

Let me just add, when God does something, he does it right. We have been praying for God’s perfect will for the Church regarding property and there is no doubt that this was His will for us. From the beginning to the end of this whole process we didn’t have to go through any negotiations, hassle, or stress during this ordeal, but everything went smoothly. A few questions were asked and answers given, no red tape (trouble) at all.

Again it was God’s Will For A Tabernacle!!!

God has provided and allowed this process to go through for the church. Because of this, we have property, which we can proudly say, belongs to us!

I was privileged to be in the first service that the Cleveland church had in the Tabernacle on the 15th of February and Wow!! What a service!! We had a flag waving march around the Tabernacle, and what a wonderful time it was worshiping the Lord in the Sanctuary of our new Tabernacle!

During the message time Deacon James O’Quinn taught a lesson regarding the history of the tabernacles and how fitting this lesson was to learn that this tabernacle will be the third tabernacle in our time, which will be in harmony with the Bible concerning the tabernacles of God. I must say this lesson was very appropriate and timely for that particular service. It was a joy to know that The Church of God is still alive and well and fulfilling prophecy.

Look what God has done; by purchasing this property, we will be able to house our General Assembly, General Offices, Bible Training Institute and any conventions or services needed. I feel that God has blessed us so much, and if we continue to do our best, He will allow us to place our funds into our own property, rather than paying some other organization for a place to have our special meetings.

Again it was God’s Will For A Tabernacle!!!

Church, let us continue to pray. I believe that God has given the Church this property and He will give us the means to take care of it.

The old saying is, “If we make the first step, He will make two,” and we made our first by pledging our funds by faith.

God delivered far above and beyond what we were asking for.

Now, it’s our turn to work, to maintain and to take care of what God has blessed the Church with. It is my prayer that we endeavor to keep the unity of our giving together.

We are not blindly giving anymore. God has shown us that faith and works will keep our goal in sight to finish what he has started in us. It is a powerful thing and we will see glorious victories if we continue to work together.

God has given me a plan to maintain our International Offices in Cleveland TN. Everyone with whom I have shared this, has agreed to participate in this much-needed cause. Remember, it starts with our leadership.
